A highly capable design from Sweden's Saab corporation. Conceived in the 1960's, the Viggen ("Thunderbolt") is still a potent interceptor today, equipped with excellent EW systems and a pulse-Doppler I/J-band radar that gives outstanding lookdown performance against low-flying targets. Ground attack versions also exist but are basically similar to this model.
